Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting on-call firefighters at several fire stations across the county.
The roles offer people the opportunity to earn extra money while fitting the commitment around existing work and family responsibilities.
On-call firefighters are fully trained members of the service who are alerted to emergencies when required. They form a significant part of Suffolk's firefighting workforce and provide emergency cover, particularly in rural communities and smaller towns and villages.
Applicants generally need to live or work within a short distance of their allocated station and be able to provide regular periods of availability. No previous firefighting experience or formal qualifications are required, with training provided.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue says on-call recruitment remains a priority as it works to improve availability across the county - details on how to apply can be found here.
