"The Screamin’ Seagulls is a choir as unique as its name. Don’t be misled by its title, this extraordinary group of singers are a lot more harmonious than their name suggests. Under the skilled tutelage and leadership of their choirmaster, the very talented Neville Rowell, the choir performs an eclectic selection of songs from an extensive repetoire, ranging from medieval music, to songs from popular musicals, ABBA, modern favourites, and a varied collection of Christmas music. This choir has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Suffolk Performing Arts Festival in 2025. Their concerts are invariably sold out. They have a unique sound of their own, their voices blending together in a gloriously mellifluous sound, in harmonies skilfully arranged by Neville. A great deal of work, effort, and dedication goes into making this choir the success that it is, with all members working together to perfect their parts, so that it then all blends into that fabulous sound they have become known for. Rehearsals for Christmas begin in August, so that there is plenty of time to learn new songs, and to polish up others to perfection. On top of all this, they recorded their own album, “The Seagulls in Summer” which includes lots of their popular numbers.

This year, due to high demand, the Screamin’ Seagulls have a new venue for their Christmas Concert, the beautiful Trinity Methodist Church in Lowestoft, and are very excited to be performing there for TWO nights, Friday 11th and Saturday 12th December, with a fabulous programme of delights to entertain you, so be sure to get your tickets in good time! This Choir doesn’t just do a concert, they put on a SHOW, with lots of fun and surprises! Oh, and the audience get to join in with some carols in between the choir pieces too! Save the date, and get set up with that Feel Good Feeling for Christmas! The Screamin’ Seagulls can’t wait to perform for you, and are looking forward to seeing you all! There is plenty of parking availability on site at Trinity, and after the concert there will be tea, coffee, and mince pies, all free, so stay and mingle and chat for a while, and meet the members of the choir.
