Recreating the Blyth Valley's Lost Railway

The Halesworth to Southwold Railway was a three-foot-gauge branch line linking Halesworth's main line Great Eastern Railway station to Southwold on the coast, just over 8 miles. It opened in 1879 and closed in 1929. HSNGR is committed to the restoration of the historic narrow gauge railway in Halesworth and the Blyth Valley, for the benefit of the residents of the valley and its visitors, preserving it for present and future generations to enjoy.
