Southwold Street Festival

Blyth Valley Rotary Club are looking for a little help on Saturday 21st June 2025.

The Volunteer Roles for the Southwold Arts Street Festival are:

1) Marshalls to staff road closure barriers

2) Marshalls to act as bucket collectors for the charity Southwold Arts Festival

3) Marshalls mingle in the crowds, watch out for people, and to advise the public.

4) Marshalls to staff the paying car park

Shifts during the afternoon will ideally be approximately two hours.

The day will start at approximately 11.30 am, with the Street Procession attendees/performers meeting at the offices of Menta (Station Road Southwold)

The Street Procession leaves at about 11.45 am and travels up the High Street, led by the High Steward Graham Denny

The Southwold High Street will be closed from 9 am to all vehicles until 6pm. The High Street will have stall holders on the pavements. Businesses will also extend onto the pavement, where people can enjoy refreshments.

Performers will be scheduled to perform in the Market Place Southwold all afternoon until 5 pm.

It's fun day, and the town has thousands of visitors on this day.

Join us for the opening celebration of the Southwold Arts Festival, where an exhilarating explosion of singing and music awaits. It's a free and joyful experience for everyone! Times are approximate at this stage, as the volunteer committee are working on this spectacular event for Southwold.
