New Community Hub and Café Planned for Lowestoft

A new community hub designed to bring people together and improve access to support services is preparing to open in Lowestoft.

Sam’s Community Hub CIC has been created to provide a welcoming and accessible space where people can drop in, meet others and connect with local services and opportunities.

At the centre of the project will be Sam’s Café, offering affordable food and drink in a friendly environment. Organisers hope the café will become a natural meeting place for local residents while helping tackle social isolation.

Alongside the café, the hub plans to offer volunteering opportunities, training and skills development, as well as space for partner organisations to meet and work directly with members of the community.

Although the hub is not yet officially open, the team is already based on site every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 3pm. Residents are being encouraged to drop in, ask questions and learn more about the project.

The organisation says its aim is to make it easier for people to find support when they need it, while also creating opportunities to build confidence, develop skills and strengthen community connections.

Further updates on the opening and future activities are expected in the coming weeks and months as preparations continue.
