Police have carried out a two-day operation targeting anti-social and illegal vehicle use across Lowestoft.
Three vehicles were seized and two people were reported for further action, with formal notices expected to be sent outlining the next steps in the legal process.
One man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and released under investigation while police await laboratory blood results. Another person was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, charged and bailed to appear in court.
A further driver was issued with a Section 59 warning for driving in an anti-social and careless manner. Section 59 powers can be used where vehicles are being driven in a way that causes alarm, distress or annoyance.
Police have thanked residents for continuing to report concerns and provide information about anti-social and illegal activity, saying that intelligence from the public helps officers target those causing problems. Suffolk Police already list reducing illegal and dangerous vehicle use as a local priority in the Lowestoft area.
Officers say proactive enforcement will continue, following the two day operation which took place on Thurday and Friday 10th and 11th September.
