14 fire crews spent yesterday afternoon tackling a major blaze at Amcor Plastics on London Road in Beccles.
Thick black smoke from the fire could be seen for miles, including from Lowestoft and Bungay, while health, power and environmental agencies were alerted as a precaution.
There were also reports of debris from the fire landing in the Queen Elizabeth Drive and Rigbourne Hill areas of Beccles.
Fire crews from across Suffolk brought specialist equipment to the scene, including high-volume pumps and aerial ladders. The fire is understood to have gutted neighbouring industrial units, while there have been no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
