Residents in the Lowestoft area are being invited to question police and Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner about local policing.
Suffolk Constabulary and the Commissioner are holding a series of public meetings across the county this autumn, with the East Area meeting taking place tomorrow, Tuesday 29th September, at the Wherry Hotel on Bridge Road, Oulton Broad.
Doors open at 6pm, with the meeting starting at 6.30pm. There is no need to book in advance — members of the public can simply turn up on the evening.
The meetings are intended to give residents an opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and find out more about policing in their area. Local community policing commanders will also be attending to provide information about issues affecting their respective areas.
Chief Superintendent Janine Wratten says maintaining an ongoing dialogue with Suffolk communities is important to ensuring the force remains responsive to local concerns. Police and Crime Commissioner Tim Passmore has also encouraged people to attend and put their questions directly to him and officers.
Further public meetings are being held in other parts of Suffolk during September and October, with an online meeting scheduled for November.
