New Tourist Information Office for Lowestoft

For the first time in five years, Lowestoft once again now has its very own dedicated Tourist Information Office.

Work has been completed on a brand-new facility at the Suffolk town’s railway station.

The Lowestoft Central Project and Wherry Lines Community Rail Partnership teamed up to open the office this week - and in time for the summer holidays.

It is hoped that the office will prove a welcome boost to tourism in the area, as the country gradually emerges from lockdown restrictions.

Visitors - and locals, will be able to see a mix of tourist information combined with books, locally produced crafts and souvenirs, as well as public transport timetables, railway collectables and refreshments.

The new office at the UK’s most easterly station, will open to the public from 10am each day during the summer months with slightly reduced opening hours during the winter.
