Coastguards in Lowestoft attended a Minke Whale that had been washed up on Lowestoft's south beach on Thursday morning (21st January).
The deceased mammal appeared on the shore just south of the Claremont Pier near to lifeguard station.
People have been advised to stay away and keep their dogs away from the whale.
Meanwhile scientists from London Zoo are currently unable to attend the scene because of the lockdown restrictions.
The appearance of the beached whale has coincided with severe gale force southwinds associated with Storm Christoph.
