Suffolk County Council’s Cabinet has unanimously approved the building of the Lake Lothing Third Crossing in Lowestoft.

The bridge has also been officially named as Gull Wing by children from Somerleyton Primary School.

The County Council have said that it will be Suffolk’s most significant infrastructure development in recent memory and one of its most visually iconic.

With no unforeseen delays, construction work is planned to begin in Spring 2021, with a target of Summer 2023 for the Gull Wing to officially open.
