People in Lowestoft are being asked to be part in a project that can really make a difference.
East Suffolk Council are working with Zurich Flood Resilience Alliance, to find out how well the community in Lowestoft is prepared for any flooding that might occur in the future. It was back in the December 2013 tidal surge, that over 160 homes and businesses in Lowestoft were flooded. In addition to this, road and rail networks were significantly disrupted. The survey is being run throughout July - and is being carried out to measure the current resilience level of Lowestoft. Each household in the flood zones will be invited to participate - and receive a flyer containing details on how to take part, either online or by telephone. The survey, along more information about the project is available at: https://www.coasteast.org.uk/zurich-flood-resilience-project.
